Grulla Morioka striker Yusuke Hayashi scored the 1,000th goal in the history of the MEIJI YASUDA J3 League on Saturday.
The landmark strike came in the 56th minute of Grulla’s 1-2 loss to Gainare Tottori in the 36th round of the season.
Twenty-five-year-old Hayashi, who has five goals for Grulla this season, has previously played for Urawa Reds and Thespa Kusatsu Gunma.
Now in their second season in Japan’s third tier, the side from Iwate currently sit 11th in the table.
