FC Tokyo and Urawa Reds are through to the semi-finals of the J.Youth Cup following their quarter-final victories which took place on Sunday.
FC Tokyo beat Vissel Kobe 1-0 thanks to an 86th-minute goal by Shuto Abe, but there was an upset for Yokohama F.Marinos, who bowed out 4-3 to Oita Trinita in a penalty shootout.
Nagoya Grampus found their way past a stubborn Tokyo Verdy side thanks to an additional time goal by Shunpei Fukahori.
Meanwhile, late goals by Mizuki Arai and Yuta Ogiso helped Urawa Reds snatch a 3-1 victory over Cerezo Osaka.
The semi-finals of the Under-18 tournament will take place on November 7 at Ajinomoto Stadium West Field in Tokyo.
