- In the 2025 MEIJI YASUDA J1 LEAGUE, the number of AFC Champions League Elite spots will be reduced from three to two.
- The MEIJI YASUDA J. LEAGUE 100 YEAR VISION LEAGUE will be granted one ACL Elite qualification spot, which will go to the club that finishes first.

- *In the event of a duplicated allocation, the spot will be transferred to the next highest-ranked club in the 2025 MEIJI YASUDA J1 LEAGUE standings.

Two-round system: a Regional Round filled with heated derby matches, followed by a Play-Off Round to determine the final rankings.
