Yokohama FC take fight for survival to Sapporo

Yokohama FC are in a tense battle for survival in the Meiji Yasuda J1 League and this week they take that fight to Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo on Saturday at 1 pm JST in a match that will be streamed live on the J.League International YouTube channel.

The Fulie find themselves at the bottom of the table, but are coming off a terrific win over F.C.Tokyo and are a mere point back of safety. That gives them a massive opportunity this weekend against a Sapporo side that is winless in their last four.

The key for Yokohama will be finding a way to create chances. They’ve struggled for goals this season, but Consa have a leaky defense that other teams have gotten the better of. If the Fulie can get looks at goal and light up the scoreboard then they could be well on their way to three points that take them to safety.

The J.League announced that up to four matches will be streamed live each week for the 2023 season, bringing one of Asia’s top league’s to fans around the world. The streams will be free to view on the J.League International YouTube channel in any country that does not have an existing rights agreement.
