Milos Rus has resigned from his position as Yokohama FC manager in order to focus on his health, the club announced on Wednesday.
The 54-year-old recently returned to his native Slovenia to seek treatment for reoccurring heart problems.
Academy technical director Hitoshi Nakata, who had previously served as interim manager in Rus’ absence, has been appointed as his official replacement.
“Our goal is to continue to improve and aim for a spot in the J1 Promotion Playoff,” Nakata said.
