Yokohama FC confirm Tuan Anh signing

Yokohama FC fans can look forward to Southeast Asian talent with the arrival of Vietnamese midfielder Nguyen Tuan Anh, who is “honoured” to play in Japan.

The 20-year-old’s one-year loan was announced by the club in December as part of their newly-formed relationship with V-League side HAGL FC.

Anh, who has represented Vietnam at under-23 level, impressed in his trial late last year and is expected to participate in the entire 2016 MEIJI YASUDA J2 League season, which will kick off on February 28.

“I’m incredibly happy to have signed with Yokohama FC,” Anh said following the signing. “In my one-week trial I was able to experience the high level of play and discipline of Japanese players.

“I recognise that it’s an honour to play for Yokohama FC, and at the same time I understand that this is a big challenge for me.

“I promise to work hard every day and hope that our fans will support me and Yokohama FC.”
