Marinos on the verge of first place as Reysol visit Yokohama

Yokohama F·Marinos are level on points with first place Vissel Kobe and will be dead set on taking over the top spot on Saturday at 4 pm JST when they take on Kashiwa Reysol in a match that will be streamed live on the J.League International YouTube Channel.

The Tricolor’s quest to repeat as champions got off to a rocky start as they worked through replacing departed key players early in the season, but they have found their stride of late and are now in the thick of the title race.

Marinos have lost just one of their last 10 matches and won five of their last six contests. They’ve been led by Anderson Lopes, who has found his absolute best form with four goals in his last two games to bring him level for the league lead.

While Marinos are a place from the top of the league, Reysol are a place from the bottom. They haven’t won in their five matches and their 13 goals are the lowest in the league, but they did score four goals a week ago and that might the jolt they need to kick on in their trip to Yokohama,

The J.League announced that up to four matches will be streamed live each week for the 2023 season, bringing one of Asia’s top league’s to fans around the world. The streams will be free to view on the J.League International YouTube channel in any country that does not have an existing rights agreement.
