Matsmoto Yamaga drew within one point of MEIJI YASUDA J2 League leaders Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo on Wednesday night after their 3-2 win at Alwin Stadium.

After the visitors rallied from a 2-0 deficit on the back of Ken Tokura’s brace, Yudai Iwama scored for a second straight week in the 81st minute to seal the victory.

Out west, Sagan Tosu’s Best Amenity Stadium hosted Roasso Kumamoto’s 5-2 win over Zweigen Kanazawa. It was the home side’s first victory since April’s deadly Kumamoto Earthquake, with all five of their goals coming in the first half.

Cerezo Osaka pulled off a dramatic 2-1 win at V-Varen Nagasaki thanks to Yasuki Kimoto’s dramatic game-winner in the 94th minute. The 23-year-old’s goal came just two minutes after V-Varen striker Ryo Nagai, formerly of Cerezo, had evened up the match.

Shimizu S-Pulse managed a 2-1 away win at Machida Zelvia, with captain Genki Omae scoring in the 11th minute and Koya Kitagawa netting the eventual winner in the 82nd.

Koji Suzuki kept the hosts alive with his 88th-minute strike but they were unable to find an equaliser in the remaining minutes.
