Vissel Kobe on Thursday announced the arrival of defender Theerathon Bunmathan on a one-year loan from Muangthong United.

The 27-year-old is a star member of Thailand’s national team, with five goals from 49 international appearances.

“It’s an incredible honour to join Vissel Kobe on loan, and I’m grateful to both clubs for creating this opportunity,” Theerathon said. 

“It’s been a dream of mine to play in the J.League. I want to work hard every day to be able to help Vissel Kobe win. I hope the club’s fans will support me.”

Theerathon will wear the No. 30 shirt for Vissel, who will open their MEIJI YASUDA J1 League campaign at Sagan Tosu on Friday, February 23.
