Vissel Kobe on Wednesday announced that defender Michihiro Yasuda will need up to a month to recover from an injury to his right medial cruciate ligament.

The 27-year-old, who also spent three years with Eredivisie side Vitesse, suffered the MCL injury during training on August 15.

Yasuda has made eight appearances this season for Vissel, who are ninth in the MEIJI YASUDA J1 League second stage and in 11th place overall.

The left-back is definitely ruled out for the Vissel’s Yamazaki Nabisco Cup quarter-final clash with Kashiwa Reysol, which will pit coach Nelsinho against his former team.
