Albirex Niigata’s Tatsuya Tanaka has officially become a father for the third time.
In addition to savouring his team’s win over Kashiwa Reysol at the weekend, the 32-year-old was able to celebrate the birth of his new son.
“I am glad to announce it is a very healthy baby boy,” Tanaka, who had previously spent 12 seasons at Urawa Red Diamonds, said.
“I want to thank my wife. I will keep doing my very best for my family, Albirex’ supporters and football.”
The striker joined Albirex in 2013 and since then he has scored five goals in a total of 62 appearances in all competitions for the club.
Tanaka played an hour in his side’s 3-2 victory against Kashiwa before being replaced by Ryohei Yamazaki.
