Veteran striker Jong Tae-Se joins S-Pulse

New Shimizu S-Pulse striker Jong Tae-Se revealed his eagerness to hang up his boots with the club, after they announced his signing from K-League side Suwon Bluewings on Thursday.

The 31-year-old already played for Kawasaki Frontale between 2006 and 2010, scoring 46 goals in 112 league appearances, and now hopes to finish his career in the J.League.

“I’m honoured to join a club as notable as Shimizu S-Pulse,” Tae-Se, who also featured in Germany’s Bundesliga with FC Koln before, commented.

“I want to play the remainder of my career here and add a new chapter of glory to the club’s history.”

North Korea international Tae-Se will join the club following Bluewings’ clash with Busan IPark on Sunday.

Bottom MEIJI YASUDA J1 League side S-Pulse are hoping to boost their strikeforce and strengthen their chances of survival before the second stage gets underway this Saturday.
