Former Yokohama F. Marinos midfielder Seitaro Tomisawa confirmed he joined MEIJI YASUDA J2 League side JEF United Chiba in search of a new challenge.
F.Marinos on Wednesday announced the 33-year-old ? who accumulated a decade of service to Tokyo Verdy before moving to Nissan Stadium in 2012 ? would depart.
“I am sorry for inconveniencing the team by leaving at this point in time, but the club has agreed to respect my wishes and allow me to transfer,” Tomisawa told the official F.Marinos website.
“I am indebted to F.Marinos for the last three-and-a-half years. I’ve fought together with my teammates and shared an unbelievable experience.
“But at 33 years old, this is a new challenge for me. I want to remain ambitious and continue to challenge myself. Thank you.”
Tomisawa, who made his professional debut in 2001, has represented F.Marinos on over 100 occasions in all competitions.
