The final match of the 2017 MEIJI YASUDA J1 League Round 5 took place on Sunday afternoon, with Ventforet Kofu defeating Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo 2-0.
Akihiro Hyodo scored the opener for the hosts just three minutes short of halftime, with defender Eder Lima doubling the team’s lead in the 52nd minute.
The result sees Ventforet climb to 11th place in the J1 standings, while promoted Consadole are in 15th place with four points.
