Ventforet Kofu on Wednesday announced the re-acquisition of Brazilian striker Maranhao from Iranian side Naft Masjed Soleyman.

The 31-year-old had previously spent a total of three campaigns at the Yamanashi outfit, recording a memorable tally of 19 J2 League goals in the 2009 campaign.

He was subsequently loaned to Tokyo Verdy in 2011 before spending three seasons in South Korea with Ulsan Hyundai and Jeju United.

Maranhao will wear the No. 11 shirt for Ventforet, who are in 13th place in the MEIJI YASUDA J1 League second stage after picking up five points from the opening five games.
