Vegalta Sendai striker Wilson returned to Japan on Wednesday after receiving treatment for an injury to his right knee.
The Brazilian returned in time to watch his club’s 3-1 win over Matsumoto Yamaga in MEIJI YASUDA J1 League action from the stands.
He is expected to rejoin training with his team-mates this week, although when he will return to first-team action remains uncertain.
The 30-year-old netted four goals in 13 appearances for Vegalta during the first stage, and could target to make his second stage bow at Urawa Reds next Saturday.
