The J.League on Friday announced that two players have been accepted into Waseda University’s School of Human Sciences E-School.
Nagoya Grampus striker Koki Sugimori and Kashima Antlers defender Koki Machida, both of whom are scheduled to graduate high school this spring, were selected to the program, the first of its kind in Japan.
Waseda has reserved spots in the E-School for athletes since 2007, allowing them to further their studies while continuing their professional career.
