Yamazaki Nabisco Cup finalists Mu Kanazaki and Takashi Usami could be set to spearhead Japan’s attack after being called-up for matches against Singapore and Cambodia.
The Japan Football Association on Thursday released their list of 23 call-ups for the national team’s upcoming 2018 FIFA World Cup and AFC 2019 Asian Cup qualifiers.
Urawa Reds centre-back Tomoaki Makino Urawa Reds, Shonan Bellmare’s Wataru Endo and Gamba Osaka’s Masaaki Higashiguchi are other prominent representatives of the J.League who received the nod from coach Vahid Halilhodzic.
The Samurai Blue will travel to Singapore on November 12, before facing Cambodia on November 17.
