FC Tokyo striker Nathan Burns has been called up to Australia’s national team for their upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifier.
The Socceroos will face Thailand in Bangkok on November 15.
“It’s an honour to be selected,” Burns said. “I’m happy to get the call even though I didn’t get a chance to play for the national team in October.
“We drew with Saudi Arabia and they will be a tough opponent for Japan.
“Meanwhile, I hope we can earn three points in Thailand and rise to the top of the group.”
