Tokyo staff begin football workshop in Indonesia

Coaching staff from FC Tokyo arrived in Indonesia this week to work with players at Pertamina Soccer School.

The coaches will work with Under-18 and Under-16 players in Jakarta until January 17, before returning again in February and March.

The event was co-sponsored by the J.League and the Japan Foundation, who have partnered with the Japan Football Association to help raise the level of play and coaching in 10 Southeast Asian countries.

These activities fall under the umbrella of the Japanese government-backed Sport For Tomorrow initiative.

The movement seeks to promote sports to over 10 million people in 100 different countries ahead of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
