FC Tokyo drew 1-1 with Waseda University in a training match at the club’s Kodaira Ground on Wednesday.

Defender Riku Matsuda scored the only goal for the MEIJI YASUDA J1 League first stage runners’ up in the session, which was played over two 45-minute periods.

The match allowed manager Massimo Ficcadenti to have a closer look at his players ahead of their clash against Shonan Bellmare this Saturday.

Tokyo have steadily climbed the second stage standings despite the loss of key player Yoshinori Muto in the summer, and presently sit third after winning three of their last four games.
