FC Tokyo on Tuesday announced the promotion of team coach Yoshiyuki Shinoda to the position of manager following Sunday’s dismissal of Hiroshi Jofuku.

“We’re going to unite as a team so that the players can give a performance that resonates with the fans,” the former Avispa Fukuoka manager said. 

“Thank you for your support.”

Additionally, the club announced that Under-23 manager Takayoshi Amma will focus on the top team.

U-18 boss Tadashi Nakamura will replace him in charge of the MEIJI YASUDA J3 League participants.
