Tokyo arrive in Indonesia for Asia Challenge

FC Tokyo arrived in Jakarta on Wednesday as they prepare to face local champions Bhayangkara FC in the 2018 J.LEAGUE Asia Challenge in Indonesia.

The match is one of many events celebrating the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Japan and Indonesia.

After a seven-hour flight, FC Tokyo’s players and staff arrived in Jakarta at 17:00 local time, showing few signs of fatigue as they checked into their hotel and went straight to the training ground for an hour of light practice.

“We want to play at 100 percent and make this a great match,” said manager Kenta Hasegawa, who selected a strong squad of 17 players. On Thursday the team will host a clinic with children at a local futsal ground.
