The 2016 FUJI XEROX SUPER CUP will again be preceded by the J.League Mascot Election, with fans voting on the league’s most popular club mascot.

Voting will take place on the official J.League website as well as on Twitter between January 26 and February 12, with the winner awarded the central position in the yearly mascot group photo.

An additional poll will follow on January 21 and 22 to determine whether long-time league mascot Mr. Pitch or the recently-revived J.League King will be the league’s official mascot in 2016.

All eligible J1 and J2 League mascots will be presented at Nissan Stadium on February 20 when 2015 MEIJI YASUDA J.League champions Sanfrecce Hiroshima face Emperor’s Cup winners
