Kashiwa Reysol on Thursday announced the sale of striker Leandro to fellow MEIJI YASUDA J1 League club Vissel Kobe.
The Brazilian spent one-and-a-half seasons in Kashiwa and was crucial in his side’s march to the AFC Champions League quarter-finals this season.
“I’m simply grateful for everything Reysol supporters have done for me,” Leandro said in a statement. “In considering my future as a player I decided that it was time for me to leave the club.
“I remain thankful for all of the support you have given me. I’ve had a wonderful time here.”
The new Vissel player, who previously played for them in 2007 and 2008, has netted 27 goals in 58 matches in all competitions during his time with Reysol.
Leandro also represented Gamba Osaka, Montedio Yamagata and Omiya Ardija after first setting foot on Japanese shores in 2005.
