Gaku Shibasaki will be suspended when MEIJI YASUDA J1 League leaders Kashima Antlers host Gamba Osaka next Saturday, the J.League confirmed on Thursday.

The 23-year-old’s name was on the organising body’s list of suspended players for matchday 10, after reaching his yellow card limit in Antlers’ 3-1 win at Kawasaki Frontale last week.

Antlers’ boss Masatada Ishii will thus have to reshuffle his pack ahead of the clash with the Japanese champions, who will be looking for their third consecutive win in the league.

FC Tokyo’s Shoya Nakajima and Nagoya Grampus’ Kisho Yano also picked up bookings in their last matches and are also ruled out for their teams’ next match.

Taikai Uemoto completes the list following the straight red card he picked up in Vegalta Sendai’s 1-0 home loss to Albirex Niigata.
