Sanfrecce Hiroshima on Tuesday announced the signing of striker Patric and midfielder Daiki Niwa from Gamba Osaka.
The 33-year-old Brazilian will join on a half-season loan from Brazil’s Salgueiro AC, while one-time Japan international Niwa will arrive on a full transfer.
“I want to thank the club for believing in me and making this offer,” Patric said. “I want to give my best on the pitch and contribute to the team. I want to score a lot of goals and bring joy to Sanfrecce Hiroshima’s supporters.”
“I’ll play with everything I have for Sanfrecce Hiroshima,” Niwa added. “No matter what happens, we have to stay positive and fight together!”
Sanfrecce will hope that the duo can together steer them back to their former glories, with the 2015 J1 League champions in danger of relegation this term.
