Sanfrecce Hiroshima are in the fight for a place in an AFC competition and on Saturday at 2 pm JST they will take that fight to Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo in a match that will be streamed live on the J.League International YouTube channel.
The Viola are fourth in the Meiji Yasuda J1 League table, just three points off third and the guaranteed place in a continental competition. They’ve been in good form of late, with just one loss in their last nine matches thanks to a defense that has conceded a total of six goals over that stretch.
Sapporo could present a tantalizing clash of styles against Sanfrecce, with the exciting attack that dominated Consa’s season before a spell of dormancy seems to be back. Mihailo Petrović’s side has scored in six of seven matches and has put 11 in the back of the net over that stretch, providing a dangerous opponent to the Viola and their increasingly stingy defense.
The J.League announced that up to four matches will be streamed live each week for the 2023 season, bringing one of Asia’s top league’s to fans around the world. The streams will be free to view on the J.League International YouTube channel in any country that does not have an existing rights agreement.
