Playing Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo and trying to contain their vaunted attack is always an unenviable task and this Saturday at 2 pm JST, that task falls to Sagan Tosu in a match that will be streamed live on the J.League International YouTube channel.
Consa have scored 41 goals in 22 matches this season, ranking among the top scoring teams in the league. They get their goals from all over the pitch and can find dangerous play from anywhere, thanks to Mihailo Petrović’s wide open style.
Exactly how Sagan plans to deter Consa’s attack will be interesting. They managed pretty well in the first meeting of these two sides, which ended in a 1-1 draw, but this match will be in Sapporo. That will make it all the more difficult, but Sagan have the defense to match up against the great attacks so this should be well worth watching.
The J.League announced that up to four matches will be streamed live each week for the 2023 season, bringing one of Asia’s top league’s to fans around the world. The streams will be free to view on the J.League International YouTube channel in any country that does not have an existing rights agreement.
