Shimizu S-Pulse on Wednesday announced the signing of striker Tiago Alves on a season-long rental from Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal.

The 24-year-old, who has previously played in South Korea’s K-League as well as his native Brazil, will wear the No.8 shirt for the J.League co-founders.

“I thank God for giving me a chance to play for Shimizu S-Pulse,” Alves commented. “I’m happy to join such a big club and I can’t wait to play in front of our supporters. 

“I will work hard to help accomplish our goals for this season and thank you for your support.”
