Shimizu S-Pulse climbed into provisional second place in the MEIJI YASUDA J2 League on Saturday night with a 4-0 win at Thespa Kusatsu Gunma in the 38th round.
Captain Genki Omae needed just four minutes to put the visitors onto the Shoda Shoyu Stadium scoreboard, followed by Chong Tese who raised his league-leading total to 23 with goals in the 11th and 69th minutes.
With 10 minutes remaining, Koya Kitagawa capped the rout off with his own strike.
The result leaves S-Pulse tied with Matsumoto Yamaga at 72 points but far ahead on goal difference.
The remaining 10 matches of the round will take place on Sunday, October 30.
