Roasso Kumamoto on Thursday night announced the safety of its players and staff following the large earthquake which struck the southwestern Japanese prefecture at 21:26 local time.
The quake, which struck near Kumamoto City, registered a 7 on the Japanese intensity scale.
The Japan Football Association also announced the safety of players and staff at its academy facility in the town of Uki, located south of Kumamoto City.
Officials are in the process of surveying Umakana Yokana Stadium, Roasso’s home ground, for signs of damage.
