Kashiwa Reysol on Wednesday announced that forward Yuki Otsu will miss three months after sustaining an injury to his left knee.

The 25-year-old sustained damage to his posterior cruciate ligament in Reysol’s loss at Nagoya Grampus in the penultimate round of the MEIJI YASUDA J1 League first stage last Saturday.

Otsu joined Reysol in January after spending nearly five years in Europe with Germany’s Borussia MG and Netherlands’ VVV Venlo, making seven appearances in the league this season.

His arrival has yet to boost the AFC Champions League quarter-finalists season in the league however, with Tatsuma Yoshida’s side languishing 14th in the table.
