Renofa Yamaguchi have announced a public competition to name the club’s new mascot, a lion whose design was revealed for the first time on January 30.

Fans may submit suggestions for the character’s name through a special website by February 7. The winner will be chosen by club staff and announced later this month.

The fan who submits the winning entry will receive a 2016 home uniform.

Renofa, who won the 2015 MEIJI YASUDA J3 League, will start their maiden J2 League campaign at home against Fagiano Okayama.
