Urawa Reds manager Mihailo Petrovic has promised aggressive football from his side this season, beginning with Saturday’s FUJI XEROX SUPER CUP match against Kashima Antlers.
The Serbian tactician won his first title with the Saitama Stadium residents since arriving in 2012 in the form of last year’s J.League YBC Levain Cup.
Ths time, he will be looking for revenge against the team who defeated his side in the MEIJI YASUDA J.League Championship.
“Kashima Antlers are a fantastic opponent and we want to have a great match and go home with the cup,” Petrovic commented.
“We prepared well in our preseason camp, but we won’t know what we have to improve until the season starts. This year we want to play more aggressive attacking football.”
