MEIJI YASUDA J2 League side Oita Trinita sacked manager Kazuaki Tasaka on Monday due to the club’s poor results this season.
The Kyushu outfit were defeated 2-1 by Giravanz Kitakyushu on matchday 16 on Sunday, leaving them bottom of the second tier having just picked up 11 points.
Head development coach Nobuaki Yanagida will serve as interim manager until a successor is appointed.
Trinita, who were last seen in the top flight in 2013 after becoming the first club to win the J1 Promotion Playoff in 2012, will next host Kyoto Sanga this Saturday.
