Shohei Ogura was overall pleased with his short experience at Gamba Osaka after the club announced his loan to Montedio Yamagata for the rest of the 2015 season on Thursday.
The midfielder joined the Japanese champions in January after seven years with Yokohama F. Marinos but only managed one start in six appearances during the league campaign to date.
However, the 29-year-old remains grateful for the opportunity to turn out for Kenta Hasegawa’s side, and is now focused on performing well with new team Montedio.
“It was only a short time but I’m incredibly fortunate to have been able to have been able to play at Gamba and be supported by these fans,” Ogura commented.
“I want to turn my experiences into results in Yamagata. Thank you for your support.”
Gamba have recorded a slow start to the MEIJI YASUDA J1 League’s second stage, their 2-2 draw at Albirex Niigata on Wednesday leaving them fifth in the table.
