Musaev thrilled to be first Uzbek in J.League.

Jubilo Iwata on Monday announced the signing of Fozil Musaev from FC Nasaf, with the midfielder thrilled to be the J.League’s first Uzbek player.

The 27-year-old has represented Uzbekistan at the senior level, most recently participating in qualifying for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

“It’s a terrific feeling to become the J.League’s first Uzbek player. I’m excited to take on a new challenge and want to work hard to represent my country and raise the value of Uzbekistan’s players,” Musaev said.

“I believe the J.League is one of the top leagues in Asia and I look forward to taking part in it.”

On the same day, Jubilo also confirmed the signings of midfielder Masaya Matsumoto from Oita Trinity as well as AC Nagano Parceiro goalkeeper Ryuki Miura.
