Moriyasu wants Sanfrecce to preserve style in ACL

Sanfrecce Hiroshima manager Hajime Moriyasu expressed confidence in his young players after the team’s 3-0 win over Buriram United in the AFC Champions League group stage.

The team’s first win in this year’s competition came thanks to a brace by 2015 Rookie of the Year Takuma Asano, who was assisted by fellow youngsters Takumi Miyayoshi and Gakuto Notsuda.

“[Asano, Miyayoshi, and Notsuda] were able to demonstrate their strong points within the team’s playing style and produced a good result,” Moriyasu told reporters after the match.

“There are things that need improving but I’m happy with their determination and aggressiveness.

“I think they all gained confidence from being involved in tonight’s goals and I hope that confidence will continue to rise.”
