Montedio Yamagata will hand out special Mother’s Day gifts to mothers of young fans attending the game against Kashiwa Reysol on Sunday.

The first 200 attendees of high school age or lower to arrive at the Mother’s Day Booth in ND Soft Stadium will receive carnations.

They will be in Montedio’s signature blue colour, representing eternal happiness and good fortune, to pass on to their mothers.

Primary and secondary school students in Yamagata prefecture are already eligible to receive free tickets to most Montedio Yamagata home games.

The upcoming event is indicative of the J.League’s family-friendly values, with no shortage of mothers receiving flowers this weekend.
