Miki Sato named J.League Honourary Manager

The J.League have announced the promotion of Miki Sato to the post of Honourary Manager following three years of service as the league’s Female Manager.

Sato has actively participated in the J.League public relations efforts since her appointment in 2015, visiting the home stadiums of all 54 clubs and making countless media appearances in her efforts to promote the league.

“In the three years since I started in 2015 with absolutely no knowledge of football, I have visited every home stadium and conducted media appearances in each prefecture,” Sato said.

“That experience has made me a fan of the J.League “The players, fans, staff, and communities have moved me with their passion.

I want to thank everyone involved with the J.League and all of the clubs for their support. I promise to continue to spread awareness of the J.League and increase the number of football fans in Japan.”
