Matsumoto Yamaga have announced the retirement of long-time defender Hiroshi Tetsuto following eight years of service for the club.
The 34-year-old made his pro debut with Sagan Tosu in 2006 before joining Matsumoto in 2009 while they were still in the regional Hokushinetsu Football League.
He would remain at the club as they rose through the Japanese pyramid, including their MEIJI YASUDA J1 League debut last year.
“I’m proud to have belonged to Matsumoto Yamaga and to have played with so many friends along the way,” Tetsuto said.
“I would like to thank my family, team-mates, our coaching staff, everyone at the club, our sponsors, and of course all of our supporters.”
Tetsuto ended his career with 130 J2 League appearances as well as five in the J1.
