Kyohei Yoshino and Tomoya Koyamatsu returned from Japan’s recent Under-22 training camp with injuries, confirmed their respective clubs.
Sanfrecce Hiroshima’s 20-year-old defender Yoshino picked up a knock that forced him to withdraw before the camp came to a close on Wednesday.
Koyamatsu also prematurely returned to Nagoya Grampus, and could be a doubt for his team’s upcoming clash against Sanfrecce.
It is also unknown whether Koyamatsu’s Sanfrecce counterpart, Takuma Asano, will be ready in time for Saturday’s encounter, after it was confirmed he too left Japan’s camp early on Monday.
The U22 gathering in Kyoto was held to allow coach Makoto Teguramori a chance to evaluate potential candidates for his squad at the AFC Under-23 Championship in Qatar next January. ”
