Vissel Kobe midfielder Seigo Kobayashi could miss the remainder of the 2016 MEIJI YASUDA J1 League season, the club announced on Tuesday.
The 22-year-old suffered a ligament injury in his right knee during last weekend’s 1-0 win at Gamba Osaka, just 20 minutes after coming on as a substitute.
Kobayashi, who has one goal from 20 appearances in his rookie season, will require at least three months to fully recover.
