Kashima travel to Gamba in clash of two red hot teams

Gamba Osaka are winners of three in a row, a streak that has seen them climb out of the relegation zone and bolster their hopes of spending next season in the top flight. Keeping that run of wins intact will be difficult on Saturday at 7 pm JST when they take on Kashima Antlers in a match that will be streamed live on the J.League International YouTube channel.

Kashima are unbeaten in their last nine matches, with a defense that has been nearly impenetrable. They’ve conceded just three goals total over their unbeaten streak and have seven clean sheets. Ikuma Sekigawa has emerged as a terrific young centerback, helping lead the Antlers surge that has them within striking distance of the top four.

Finding a way through that Kashima defense will be a tough task for Gamba, but they are in their best form of the season. Not only have they won three straight in the league, but they just toppled rivals Cerezo Osaka in the J.League YBC Levain Cup to book their spot in the knockout stages.

Which in-form team will prevail at Panasonic Stadium Suita? Find out on Saturday.

The J.League announced that up to four matches will be streamed live each week for the 2023 season, bringing one of Asia’s top league’s to fans around the world. The streams will be free to view on the J.League International YouTube channel in any country that does not have an existing rights agreement.
