The schedule for the 2016 J2/J3 Promotion-Relegation Playoff has been determined following the conclusion of both leagues’ regular seasons.

The home-and-away series will feature Zweigen Kanazawa, who finished 21st in the 2016 MEIJI YASUDA J2 League, and Tochigi SC, who finished second in the 2016 MEIJI YASUDA J3 League.

The series will follow standard tie-breaker rules, with away goals breaking a deadlock followed by extra time and penalty kicks if necessary.
