Kagoshima United defender Taikai Uemoto will miss six weeks of action after injuring his right knee, the club announced on Tuesday.
The 34-year-old damaged his anterior cruciate ligament during a February 28 training match with the University of Marketing and Distribution Sciences’ football team.
Uemoto, who joined Kagoshima from V-Varen Nagasaki earlier in 2017, has previously played for Vegalta Sendai, Cerezo Osaka, Oita Trinita and Jubilo Iwata.
