Jubilo Iwata on Sunday announced their acquisition of Yokohama F. Marinos captain Shunsuke Nakamura on a full transfer.

The ex-Celtic veteran made his J.League debut in 1997, playing for F.Marinos until 2002 when he made the journey to Europe. 

Nakamura, who played several seasons in Italy, Scotland and Spain before moving back to his boyhood club in 2010, scored four goals in 19 MEIJI YASUDA J1 League appearances last season.

“I’ve decided to join Jubilo Iwata in order to give myself a new challenge and will contribute everything I have to the team,” Nakamura said.
