Some of the J.League’s top academy prospects will travel overseas in August in order to gain valuable experience playing in foreign countries.
A selection of the league’s top Under-13 players, who recently traveled to Vietnam, will visit Thailand to play against Muangthong United, Army United, Buriram United and Bangkok United’s academy sides between August 14 and 22.
Meanwhile, the Under-15 Selection will travel to Brazil in order to participate in the 18th Friendship Cup celebrating the two countries’ close ties.
They are scheduled to face Vasco da Gama, Boavista and Santos in the group stage of the tournament.
It will be the 11th straight year that J.League representatives have participated in the competition, which will be hosted in Rio de Janeiro this year.
