J.League reveals 2023 match schedule

The 2023 J.League campaign is set, with the fixtures for all three divisions and the J.League YBC Levain Cup released on Friday.

The top-flight’s 34-matchweek slate will run from February 17 through to December 3, with last year’s winners Yokohama F·Marinos visiting 2021 kings Kawasaki Frontale to open the season on Friday Night J.League.

Newly-promoted sides Yokohama FC and Albirex Niigata will mark their returns to J1 the next day when the Fulie host Nagoya Grampus and Albirex travel to Cerezo Osaka.

Rivalry matches are always worth circling on the calendar and this year marks the return of the Yokohama Derby, which will take the J1 spotlight on April 8 and August 26.

Elsewhere, Cerezo and Gamba will square off in the Osaka Derby on May 5 and October 28.

Perhaps of special interest to some overseas fans will be the J.League Thai Derby, taking place between Chanathip Songkrasin’s Frontale and Supachok Sarachat’s Hokkaido Consadole Sapporo on April 1 and August 26.

Urawa Reds fans will have to keep a close eye on the fixtures list as their contests on Matchweeks 10, 11 and 12 have been moved so they can play in the AFC Champions League final.

You can view the entirety of the schedule here (and sort by month and club) to get ready for another fabulous season of football in the J.League!
